NATIONAL SCHOOLS REGATTA
Competing with Britain's Best
The National Schools Regatta is
the largest junior rowing event in
Great Britain, attracting around
4,500 competitors to the iconic
Olympic course at Dorney Lake,
Windsor. Simply qualifying is a
huge achievement, and this year
Queen's Park Chester Rowing Club
rose to the challenge with a series
of impressive performances against
the country's very best young
rowers.
Across three days of competition,
QPC fielded seven entries, with
three crews reaching Friday
afternoon finals and two athletes
progressing deep into
championship events over the
weekend.
Friday was the club's busiest day
and produced some fantastic
results. The standout performance
came from the Boys' J14 Coxed
Quad of Trystan M, Will D, Alex H
and Eddie N, coxed by Dylan T.
After progressing through the time
trial, the crew delivered a superb
Final C performance, coming from
the outside lane to take the lead
halfway through the race and hold
on for victory. Their win secured an
outstanding 13th place National
ranking.
There was further success for the
Girls' J14 Coxed Quad, who
finished third in Final C to place
15th nationally, while the Girls' J15
2nd Coxed Quad also claimed third
place in their final, securing another
top-15 finish in Great Britain. Both
crews produced strong
performances in highly competitive
fields and gained valuable
experience on the national stage.
Saturday and Sunday saw Isobelle
C compete in the Championship
Girls' Single Sculls. After battling
through the repechage, she
continued her regatta journey to
reach the Final D, completing five
races across the weekend.

Her progression through one of the
regatta's most competitive events
was a testament to her resilience
and determination.
Also on Sunday, Carlos LV and
Henry H produced an excellent
performance in the Championship
Open Coxless Pair. Racing through
the morning rounds, they
progressed all the way to Final B,
placing them among the top 12
pairs in Great Britain in one of the
regatta's premier championship
events.
From final appearances and
national top-15 finishes to
championship progression against
elite opposition, the National
Schools Regatta was another
memorable weekend for QPC
Rowing. Our athletes demonstrated
skill, resilience and determination
throughout, giving the club plenty to
celebrate and highlighting the
exciting future ahead.
