Behind the scenes, QPC Rowing Club and
Love Rowing have worked hard to remove
barriers to participation. Affordable
memberships, transport, swimming lessons,
adaptive equipment and access to kit have
helped ensure that more young people can
enjoy the opportunities the sport provides.
Plans are also in place to expand the youth
leadership programme, creating new
opportunities for older participants to
volunteer, gain qualifications and inspire the
next generation of rowers.
The programme's success is a testament to
the dedication of coaches, volunteers and
school staff who have supported every young
person on their journey. Whether
encouraging a nervous beginner, adapting
sessions to meet individual needs or
celebrating personal milestones, their
commitment has helped make the past year
such a success.
As 8Rowing to Success9 enters its second
year, the ambition remains as strong as ever.
With more schools now involved and
additional opportunities on the horizon, even
more young people will be able to experience
the benefits of rowing and become part of the
club community.
