Year 7 made a fantastic start to their
rounders journey, showing great
determination and teamwork in their
first matches for the school. Emilia P
impressed as a standout bowler,
while Paisley MC excelled at second
base. The team worked brilliantly
together and represented QPHS
with pride throughout the season.
Year 8 also enjoyed a successful
term of rounders, with Eloise H and
Matilda C producing some excellent
batting displays and helping the
team deliver strong performances
throughout their matches.
For Year 10, the season ended on a
particularly high note. The team
played some exceptional rounders
and demonstrated the skills they
have developed over the years. On
tournament day, they topped their
group and progressed to the final,
eventually finishing as Chester
District runners-up after a closely
contested match against The
Queen9s School. It was a
remarkable achievement and one
that the team should be incredibly
proud of. There were standout
moments throughout the
tournament, including powerful
hitting from Indie N, superb bowling
performances, and some
As many of you know, this was my final term at
QPHS. From the bottom of my heart, it has been an absolute
pleasure. I feel like I've grown up alongside many of you and
have learned so much during my time here. You have truly
made teaching at QPHS something very special. We've shared
so many wonderful memories together, and I will always look
back on them with a huge smile. Thank you for your hard work,
enthusiasm, sense of humour and for making my first teaching
experience so enjoyable. I will genuinely miss you all, but I am
incredibly proud of everything you have achieved. Please
continue with your sports, keep challenging yourselves and
enjoying every opportunity that comes your way. I'll forever be
your number one cheerleader!

Athletics also brought plenty of
success. Evie S (Y10) delivered an
excellent performance in the shot
put at the Inter Competition, while
Margaux S (Y9) impressed on the
track and went on to represent
Chester. In the Junior Competition,
Paisley MC (Y7) achieved a high
placing in the high jump despite
competing in the event for the very
first time. Both competitions were
highly successful and provided
enjoyable opportunities for students
to showcase their talents.
Everyone at QPHS would like to thank
Miss Darroch for her dedication,
enthusiasm and unwavering support of
our students during her time at the
school. Her passion for sport,
commitment to helping young people
succeed and ability to inspire
confidence have left a lasting impact
on so many students. As she begins
an exciting new chapter teaching in
Dubai, we wish her every happiness
and success for the future. She leaves
behind countless happy memories and
a legacy that will continue to inspire
QPHS students for years to come.
