GIRLS LEAD THE WAY!
Silver Medals, Super Goals & Standout Saves!
Year 8 Team
U15 Football Team
This term has been an exciting and
action-packed season for Girls9 PE at
Queen9s Park High School. Netball
has taken centre stage from February
through to Easter, giving our girls the
chance to showcase their teamwork,
determination and skill!
The major highlight of this season was
the Chester and District Plate
competitions for Year 7, 8 and 9 which
took place at The King9s School.
Year 7 enjoyed a superb first season,
showing impressive progress for such
a new group of players. Daria and
Betty were excellent in attack, scoring
with accuracy and composure, while
Emilia delivered an outstanding
performance as Goal Defence (GD),
reading the game brilliantly.
Year 8 faced a demanding line-up of
opponents including Queens, Catholic
High, Upton, Abbey Gate, Bishops9
Blue Coat and King9s. Despite the
challenge, they approached every
match with positivity and spirit. Jessie
and Victoria netted some brilliant
goals, while Holly and Alys remained
consistently strong in defence.
Year 9 rounded off the term in
outstanding style, delivering a superb
performance to secure second place
and bring home silver medals in the
Plate competition against strong local
Chester schools. Amelia and Emily
were unstoppable with their goal
scoring, while new players Aneesa
and Seren made an immediate impact
adding skill, energy and depth to an
already impressive team effort.
Alongside our players, our Year 12
Sports Leaders have been
exceptional, providing coaching,
encouragement and support
throughout lessons and tournaments.
Their leadership and enthusiasm
make them wonderful role models for
our younger students.
A special shoutout goes to our U15
Football team for reaching Round 3 of
the ESFA Cup! Seren was
outstanding in goal, pulling off some
incredible saves, Trudy led confidently
as captain and Santi and Erin scored
some unbelievable goals. A brilliant
achievement all round!
As we look ahead, Rounders season
begins after Easter, with sessions
taking place on Mondays after school
from 3 - 4pm. We can9t wait to see
you there!
