LEARNING TO SAVE LIVES
Students gain vital First Aid Qualification
As part of our ongoing Chester Schools Together partnership,
we were thrilled to offer a group of Sixth Form students the
opportunity to complete a full-day Paediatric First Aid
qualification. This is a vital life-saving certification that equips
young people with the confidence and skills to act in a child
medical emergency.
The training was expertly delivered by Yvonne Parry from Brio
Leisure, who led an engaging, hands-on session packed with
practical scenarios and essential first aid techniques. Six QPHS
students were eager to get involved, including: Chloe, Lilly,
Bolaji, Nabila, Phoebe and Roza, alongside students from
Catholic High School and The Bishop9s Blue Coat C of E High
School.
Throughout the day, students practised key first aid techniques
such as responding to choking, assessing casualties, performing
CPR, and managing common childhood injuries.
