Stepping Into the World of Work
As part of our commitment to
provide outstanding Careers
Education Information and
Guidance (CEIAG) we were
delighted to welcome over 27
employers from a wide range of
organisations to support our
Year 11 and Year 13 mock
interview day.
Having completed work
experience in Year 10,
taking part in a mock
interview with Barclays
this year was a fantastic
opportunity to practise my
interview skills. Being told
that I had performed really
well was a huge confidence
boost.

It was wonderful to see so many
students arriving smartly dressed,
confident and ready to engage in
professional discussions.
In addition to gaining valuable
interview experience, students
received personalised feedback
on both their interview
performance and CVs. This
meant they left the day not only
better prepared, but also with
clear guidance on how to improve
for future jobs, college or
university interviews.
On the previous day, a number of
Year 13 students attended the
Mock Assessment Centre at
Chester Town Hall where they
practised key workplace skills
such as teamwork, problem
solving, presentations and
interview techniques.

student took part in a realistic
interview with a local employer,
giving them a clear insight into
