GOLD STARS
Awards & Rewards
There was lots to celebrate this term as
we recognised our Gold Star winners. At
the end of the first Spring half term, Mr
Yeoman totaled up weekly house points
to identify students who had consistently
gone the extra mile.
During assemblies in early March, 130
students were awarded Gold Stars for
their effort and commitment. Each
student received a certificate to mark
their achievement, while one lucky
student from each year group was
randomly selected to win an Amazon
voucher in recognition of their hard work.
All Gold Star students were also entered
into the grand prize draw, adding to the
excitement in assemblies. The tension
grew as the spinner finally landed on
Year 12 securing the top prize. Huge
congratulations go to Siyana, who walked
away with the highly sought-after laptop!
Well done to all our gold star winners.
We look forward to seeing which
students drive their house points forward
next half term as they aim for the next big
win!
GOING THE EXTRA MILE
Fundraising that makes a real difference
We are always incredibly proud
of students who go above and
beyond to support others,
showing kindness and
compassion alongside their
academic work. Acts like these
reflect our belief that education
is about developing the whole
person, not just academic
success.
On World Prematurity Day,
Sophie in Year 11 raised an
impressive £300 for the
Neonatal Unit at Liverpool
Women9s Hospital through a
charity bake sale. Sophie baked
and sold an amazing 400+
cakes to students and staff,
showing real determination and
generosity.
The money raised has since
been used to buy much needed
items directly from the unit9s
wish list, ensuring a lasting
impact. Sophie will soon deliver
the gifts in person and we know
the hospital staff will be just as
proud of her as we are.
