The level of professionalism the students showed was
incredible. They took their roles seriously, supported each
other throughout the day and what impressed me most was
how they adapted under pressure. They9ve grown so much
in their ability to think on their feet.
Mr Bell, Teacher of History
With only one professional magistrate overseeing the trial,
it was up to our students to run the courtroom
independently, and they rose to the challenge brilliantly.
Although they didn9t take home first place this time, their
confidence, thoughtful questioning, strong legal arguments
and impressive opening and closing statements shone
throughout the day.
Both Mrs Ward and Mr Bell were incredibly proud of how
our students represented Queen9s Park; professional,
composed and fully invested in the experience.
This marks our third year taking part in the competition,
and once again it has been a fantastic opportunity for our
students to immerse themselves in the world of law. Well
done to all students involved!
I was really nervous at first,
but once we started I felt like I
was actually part of a real trial.
It was amazing to see how
everything we9d practised
came together.
