CULTURE EXPLOSION!
Around the world in one school day
On Wednesday 11th February,
QPHS came alive with colour,
flavour and pride as we held our
whole-school cultural event to
celebrate the rich diversity within
our community. After a recruitment
drive with assemblies and letters,
we welcomed Cultural
Ambassadors from ten different
countries, each helping to share
traditions from their heritage.
Students enjoyed a fantastic
selection of dishes and snacks
from Hungary, Poland, Greece,
The Netherlands and Zimbabwe, to
name a few, while our catering
team added to the excitement with
a themed menu featuring Spanish
and Eastern Asian cuisine for
everyone to try.
The day also showcased cultural
dress, games and history from
countries including Hungary, Wales
and Iran. Our corridors and
canteen were beautifully decorated
by our Student Leadership Team,
creating a vibrant atmosphere that
encouraged students to explore
and learn from one another.
The event was a true reflection of
the QPHS values of community,
inclusion and respect.
We are incredibly proud of our
ambassadors and all students who
took part and look forward to
building on this success next year.
It was wonderful to see so many learners
getting involved, tasting new foods,
asking questions and celebrating
what makes each of us unique.
