TASTER DAY
The Sixth Form Taster Day is an
extremely important event that allows
Year 11 students to confirm their option
choices ready for them to start their
studies in September.

Year 11 explore Sixth Form Life
In February, our Year 11 students
were given a glimpse into their futures
as they stepped into the shoes of our
inspiring Sixth Formers for the day.
We were also delighted to welcome
Year 11 students from Blacon High
and Chester International School to
join us for this learning experience.
It was a fantastic opportunity for
students to come together and
experience a day in the life of a Sixth
Form student gaining a first-hand
taste of the diverse range of courses
on offer at QPHS.
The day was packed with engaging
lessons across a wide variety of
subjects. Students
explored the
differences between
their current GCSE
studies and A Level
courses, while also discovering
exciting new subjects such as
Psychology, Film Studies, Criminology
and UPS (Uniformed Protective
Services).
In addition to sampling new subjects,
Year 11 students were excited to use
the Sixth Form facilities such as the
common room and The Beach café a particular highlight for our Year 12
and 13 students. During their noncontact time they experienced what is
meant by independent study.
The day enabled students to meet our
dedicated Sixth Form team and
teachers, and also get a feel for the
supportive and vibrant atmosphere
that defines our Sixth Form
community.
We can9t wait to see many of these
students join us in September and
take the next step to shaping their
futures and achieving their goals.
