We were thrilled to welcome the international
students to our school. Their enthusiasm to
learn was palpable and their questions and
observations really made us think, too! It is
really exciting to hear about the work the
university are doing to share experiences
of working in education across the globe.

SHAPING THE FUTURE
Inspiring Tomorrow9s Teachers
Since September, Queen's Park has had the pleasure of
welcoming a group of PGCE students training to become the next
generation of educators. These dedicated individuals have been
actively involved across a range of subjects4including English,
maths, history, geography, computer science, PE, and drama gaining valuable experience and professional feedback from our
teaching staff.
As we approach the Easter break, some of our trainees will be
looking forward to returning to Queen's Park for their next and
final placement, while others will be embarking on exciting new
opportunities at alternative schools. Professional mentor Mrs
Phillips has supported these budding teachers in areas such as
curriculum planning, pedagogy, assessment, and behaviour
management.
A special shout out goes to our dedicated subject mentors: Miss
Egden, Miss Sumner, Miss Whitford-Stark, Mr Griffiths, Mr
Yeoman, Mr Emptage, and Mrs Blears-Chalmers, along with Miss
Luff. Their invaluable support and guidance have been
instrumental in helping the trainees work towards meeting the
Teachers' Standards. Subject mentors provide vital day-to-day
assistance and regular feedback through lesson observations,
ensuring that each trainee is equipped with the necessary skills
and knowledge to succeed in their teaching careers.
We are proud to collaborate with local training providers, including
Chester University and Educate, to enhance the training
experience for our PGCE students. As they continue their
journeys, we wish them every success in their future careers, and
we look forward to seeing the impact they will undoubtedly have
in the world of education.
