QUEEN9S PARK GOES GLOBAL
International students explore British education
On Tuesday 24th March, Queen's
Park High School welcomed a group
of international Master9s in
Educational Leadership students
keen to discover more about the
British education system. Our visitors
were thrilled with what they
experienced during their time with us
and even expressed a wish to work at
our school if there were any
vacancies!
The students were particularly
fascinated by the emphasis on hands
-on learning, a feature that sets our
curriculum apart.
Their excitement was
palpable as they
observed practical
lessons in science
and technology,
where students
engaged in
experiments and
innovative projects.
The group also had the opportunity to
sit in on an English lesson, where our
Year 8 students were busy planning
their very own news articles. The
collaborative atmosphere and
creativity shown by our students
impressed the visitors greatly.
Following the lesson, the group
enjoyed a guided tour of our facilities
and participated in a lively question
and answer session with some of our
Sixth Form leaders.
It was genuinely lovely to meet such
curious individuals, and discussions
extended late into the afternoon. The
visitors had a range of questions
covering various topics, including
school governance, finance, teaching
methodologies, and pastoral care.
We anticipate that this experience will
foster international connections and
inspire a new appreciation for the
diversity in educational approaches.
