BATTLE FOR GLORY
Regional clubs unite at Head of the Dee
This event follows a slightly
different format than most, with
crews competing for a percentage
of Gold Medal Time. This means
that a single can race against a
quad or an eight, based on their
time (relative to a gold medal
performance time from the
previous National Schools
events).
Hosted by The King9s School
Rowing Club, the event brings
together top regional talent,
including Shrewsbury School
Rowing Club, Royal Chester
NORTHWICH
AUTUMN HEAD
Extended 2 day event
The Northwich Autumn Head is
one of the most popular events
on the rowing calendar, often
selling out within minutes of
entries opening. This year,
Northwich Rowing Club
extended the competition to two
days, dedicating one day to
junior rowing. Thanks to this
change, we secured places for
our Year 10 and senior rowers.
Competing in singles were:
• Issy, Millie Warren, Carlos,
Henry, Arthur, Joshua, Alex &
Alyssa.
In doubles, we had:
• James & Kodey, Libby &
Phoebe, Eden & Alice and
Georgia & Abigail.
Rounding out the competition in
a coxed quad were:
• Harriet, Valentina, Susannah
& Scarlett, coxed by Abigail.
Congratulations to everyone who
represented the club with
determination and skill!
Rowing Club, and others from
across the Dee.
It was fantastic to see our crews
from J14 through to seniors take
on the challenge, with medals
won across the majority of our
boats.
A brilliant day of racing and
achievement for all involved! We
are incredibly proud of our rowers
for showcasing determination,
teamwork and the QPHS
community spirit on such a
competitive stage.
