GOAL GETTERS!
Lionesses bring home the silver!
It9s been a really exciting start to the
term in Girls9 PE. Our Year 8 girls
showed real fire in the 5-a-side indoor
football tournament. They battled for
every ball, supported each other
brilliantly, and we were treated to a
fantastic goal from Naomi F. Year 7
were just as impressive, with shout
outs to Paisley MC and Skye B
showing great skill and confidence
throughout their games.
One of the real highlights this term
was the Chester & District 7-a-side
football tournament at Chester
Catholic High School. Our Year 7
team played the entire competition a
player down and still managed to win
their group, win the semi-final, and
only narrowly missed out in a very
close final!
Emilia P was on fire, scoring some
brilliant goals, and every single girl
gave absolutely everything. A huge
well done to Sky B, Emilia P, Elena
M, Daria B, Paisley MC and Hope B
for their effort and fantastic football
that evening. It was a proud moment
for Miss Darroch on the side lines
watching and cheering them on.
A special shout-out also goes to
Poppy K, our Year 7 team manager.
She was fantastically organised,
positive and a brilliant role model for
the younger players. Her support
made such a difference to both the
girls and Miss Darroch on the day.
After Christmas, the competitive
netball season gets underway, and
Monday after-school training will be
essential ready for another successful
term.
I’ve loved seeing the
enthusiasm the girls have
brought to every fixture and
training session. Thank you for
all your hard work ladies!
