KICK-OFF TO VICTORY
Launching the season with trophy glory
Year 7
Year 9
It9s been an action packed start to the
football season at Queen9s Park High
School, with all six of our teams
competing in both the Chester Cup
and Chester 6-a-side tournaments,
and some year groups even taking on
the Cheshire Cup challenge!
A huge shout-out goes to our
incredible Year 8 footballers, who
stormed to victory in the Chester &
District 6-a-side tournament, beating
ten local schools to claim the title!
Their journey was nothing short of
thrilling.
The opening game against
Abbeygate College saw Ben9s
dazzling dribble and clinical finish put
us ahead. Next up was Christleton
High School, despite Georgi9s rocksolid defending and Bjorn9s heroic
saves, we narrowly lost 1-0. But
revenge was on the horizon!
After a battling win over Chester
Catholic High, thanks to Joel9s grit
and Jake9s relentless pressure up
front, we advanced to the semi-finals
against a strong Bishop Heber side. It
was a nail-biter that went to penalties,
where Bjorn9s early save and our cool
composure sealed the win.

Year 8
The final brought us face-to-face with
Christleton once again. Led by our
inspirational captain Harry, the team
fought hard in a tense 0-0 thriller.
Penalties decided it, and this time,
QPHS claimed the silverware!
And the excitement doesn9t stop
there! Year 9 are still in the Cheshire
Cup, having edged out Kings
Leadership Warrington 3-2 in the last
round. Next up: Tarporley High in the
last 16. Watch this space, more
trophies could be on the way!
