The Year 10 and 11 basketball team
recently showcased their talent in the
Chester Schools Basketball Competition,
facing off against seven local schools.
opposition to break through. Hayden and
Matty kept the energy high with lightningfast breaks, ensuring the team stayed
responsive and competitive throughout.
Drawn in a tough group with The King9s
School, Chester Catholic High and Blacon
High School, our team rose to the
challenge with determination and skill.
The season concluded on a high note with
an excellent win against Chester Catholic
High, a testament to the team9s hard work
and unity.
The opening match against King9s was a
nail-biter! Captain Tom led from the front,
dazzling spectators with his flawless lay-up
technique. Meanwhile, newcomer Harvey
proved to be a defensive powerhouse,
dominating rebounds and giving QPHS
repeated chances to attack.
A special shout-out goes to Murat, whose
coaching expertise guided the squad to
success.
Against Blacon, the trio of Josh, Kris, and
Will formed an impenetrable defensive wall,
making it nearly impossible for the
Year 8 and 9 basketball fixtures kick off
after Christmas with a Year 7 tournament in
early February, promising even more
excitement on the court!
