AHEAD OF THE GAME
Pledge Employer Readiness Programme
Our Year 13 students have been
taking important steps towards
their next chapter by taking part
in The Pledge Employer
Readiness Programme. The
sessions are designed to give
students a clear and realistic
understanding of the
opportunities available to them
post 18, whether they choose
university, apprenticeships or
employment.
succeed in interviews. The most
recent session focused on the
STAR technique (Situation,
Task, Action and Result) with
practical examples of how to

delighted to welcome James
Pritchard-Wood, Nigel Jones,
and apprentices from Bank of
America, who have been leading
the programme and sharing their
own experiences of entering the
workplace. Their insight has
helped students understand
what employers look for and
how they can present
themselves with confidence.
The Pledge Employer
Readiness Programme has
proved to be a valuable
experience, giving Year 13
students both the knowledge
and confidence to move forward
and get ahead of the game. Our
students are gaining a clearer
sense of direction and are well
on their way to becoming truly
future ready.
Throughout the programme,
students have explored a range
of topics including how to apply
for apprenticeships, what to
expect at assessment centres
and the key skills needed to
