Personal Development
As part of our whole school Personal
Development Programme, students attend
PD assemblies during the week with Mrs
Watts. This provides opportunities for
students to learn about a wide range of
personal development topics, enriching
their understanding of the world around
them. During the Autumn Term students
have learnt about:
• The Equality Act 2010 – Protected
Characteristics
• The Importance of Languages linked to
the European Day of Languages
(26/9/25)
• World Religions – Faiths and beliefs
• Mental Health linked to World Mental
Health Day (10/10/25)
• Halloween and Bonfire night Safety
• Remembrance
• Anti-bullying week
• Parliament and democracy
• Slavery linked to the International Day
for the Abolition of Slavery (2/12/25)
• Risk taking behaviour with a specific
focus on vaping.
The careers fair gave Year 10
students the opportunity to meet
employers and education providers
face to face and ask questions. It
was great to see so many of our
students engaging with this and
thinking about the next steps on
their careers journey.

EXPLORING FUTURES
Chester Careers & Education Fair
In October, our Year 10 students
attended the Chester Careers &
Education Fair, organised by
The Pledge Partnership for
Cheshire & Warrington.
This valuable event provided
students with the opportunity to
connect with employers, explore
further and higher education
pathways, and learn about
independent training providers
and voluntary organisations.
Ahead of the fair, students
prepared by identifying which
exhibitors they wanted to speak
to and planning thoughtful
questions. This preparation
ensured they gathered
meaningful insights to help
inform their future choices
regarding careers and education.
The fair featured over 50
organisations, including
employers, training providers,
and representatives from higher
and further education. It was an
excellent chance for students to
broaden their understanding of
the opportunities available to
them.As part of our whole-school
careers strategy, we have many
more events planned throughout
the academic year. For the latest
information and resources to
support students, parents, and
carers, please visit the: Careers
and Guidance section: of our
school website.
