Turing Trip to Japan
Thank you for supporting our
students on this incredible journey!
The Turing Scheme, a UK
government programme, enables
students to study and work abroad,
helping them gain new skills, boost
employability, and broaden horizons
through once-in-a-lifetime
experiences.
It9s now all systems go! Our Turing
Team is working hard to plan and
fundraise to make this trip the best it
can be. Mrs Watts is collaborating
with the British Council in Tokyo to
design a work experience project
linked to their global mission of
building connections, understanding,
and trust between nations. Students
will meet British Council staff to learn
about their roles, global partnerships,
and the Japanese education system,
including the IELTS qualification.
They9ll also take part in language and
cultural exchanges, deepening their
understanding of life in Japan.
Beyond the classroom, students will
explore Tokyo9s rich heritage; from
temples, museums, and parks to
iconic landmarks like Tokyo Tower
and even a visit to see the giant
pandas at Ueno Zoo!.
While the grant covers essential
travel costs, activities and excursions
must be self-funded. To make this trip
truly unforgettable, students from all
three schools are working tirelessly to
raise funds through various initiatives.
We9re inviting donations to help
ensure every student can fully
experience this extraordinary
opportunity. Your support will help to
empower our students to develop
essential skills, embrace new
cultures, and shape their futures in
ways that will last a lifetime.
