TREE FESTIVAL
Christmas Creativity
Other instrumental highlights
included Mila9s classical guitar
performance of Prelude/Layenda,
piano solos by Riley, Lydia and
Susannah along with Amara9s
electrifying rendition of The Final
Countdown on electric guitar.
We also congratulate our choir, all 4
bands and the Year 10 GCSE music
group and friends9 ensemble. Every
student gave their best and it was an
amazing effort all round!
A huge thank you also goes to our
Sixth Form hosts, Phoebe and Dan,
who kept the evening running
smoothly and entertained the
audience throughout. Their energy
and professionalism ensured every
act was on track and the festive spirit
never wavered!
A huge shout-out to Mrs
Landen for leading what
was honestly my favourite
concert yet. The sense of
inclusivity and cohesion
she created was something
truly special. Sitting with
Year 7, dancing and
singing along to EVERY
act, was a particular
highlight for me.
Mr Kearns, Headteacher
Chester Cathedral9s much-loved
Christmas Tree Festival returned this
year and we were thrilled that Queen9s
Park High School was able to sponsor
one of the 80 trees, highlighting our
commitment to supporting the city and
its local business community.
In line with this year9s theme, 8Christmas
Around the World9, our Year 10 students
have worked their creative magic during
their 30 minute enrichment session each
week to produce intricate 3D
decorations from recycled paper ready
to adorn the tree.
Using simple techniques of cutting,
folding and glueing, they transformed
everyday materials into detailed festive
works of art that reflects global traditions
and promotes an eco-friendly approach
to seasonal décor.
The Christmas Tree Festival offers a
peaceful escape from the city9s
Christmas rush and ran from Friday 28
November 2025 to Sunday 4 January
2026, expecting to welcome more than
50,000 visitors during December.
It9s a wonderful way to celebrate the
season so we hope you had time to stop
by and see our tree!
